Lake Atitlan Tours

Lake Atitlán is a body of water in a massive volcanic crater in Guatemala’s southwestern highlands. Ringed by steep, verdant hills, it’s known for its Mayan villages and volcanoes with striking pointed cones. The busy town of Panajachel, where vendors sell traditional textiles, is a popular gateway to the lake. On a former coffee plantation, the Atitlán nature reserve offers trails and a butterfly garden.

There are a number of tours, hikes, and more to see and do around Lake Atitlan!

Take An ATV Ride

The options are endless! Take a sunset tour to Lake Atitlan, explore coffe plantations, or ride out to an active volcano! We have a great relationship with Simoon Tours and can easily recommend an ATV tour you will never forget!

Go Horseback Riding

Embark on a horse riding adventure on an active volcano. Journey through an almost extraterrestrial landscape of volcanic rock to arrive at a private dinner with a chef who will cook Pizza on hot lava. Enjoy your dinner and sip wine-chips and salsa and even a plant cheese tasting on your horse, as the sun sets  you sit on a colorful picnic-on a live volcano. We then have gourmet chocolates of Guatemala that you taste as you roast marshmallows on the hot lava.  At dark we go back to the horses where your cowboy guide will lead you and your horse under the stars back down the mountain-seeing active volcanos on the way down.  An experience of a lifetime!

Take a Bird Watching Tour

There are birds in Guatemala and Central America found nowhere else on the planet! Take a tour to add to your life list! Enjoy guided trips along our tourist routes designed for nature lovers who want to combine the beautiful songs and colors of the birds with beautiful landscapes. Find Horned Guan, Resplendent Quetzal, Azure-rumped Tanager, Higland Guan, Bar- winged Oriole, Buffy-crowned Wood-Partridge, Blue-throated Motmot, Slender Sheartail, Belted Flycatcher, Wine-throated Hummingbird, Emerald-chinned Hummingbird, Hooded Grosbeak, White-faced Ground Sparrow, White-eared Ground-Sparrow and more!

Go Ziplining!

Live an unforgettable experience at Canopy San Pedro La Laguna with this extreme activity featuring hiking, a lookout point, and impressive natural views. Beauty blends with the visitor’s experience. The past shapes its history. You can see Lake Atitlan and the town of San Pedro La Laguna , where man comes to love the place of the Tz’utujiles, an ancient civilization. Ziplining in San Pedro La Laguna is like living again with the ancient Mayans; reliving the past is like receiving the spirit of your ancestors.
